Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Murphy, 83, died Wednesday morning, October 29, at her home at Route 6, Pulaski.
Funeral services for Mrs. Murphy, wife of the late Richard Murphy, were conducted Friday afternoon, October 31, at 2:00 o'clock in the chapel of Bennett-May Funeral Home with the Rev. Mack Pinkelton officiating. Burial was in Lynnwood Cemetery.
She was a native of Giles County, born March 29, 1886, the daughter of the late Henry and Emma Hendrix Carpenter.
Survivors include four daughters, Miss Marie Murphy, Mrs. Vetris Kimbrough, Mrs. Louis Buchanan, Mrs. Lennin Lorance; two sons, Howard Murphy, Virgil Murphy; sixteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Miss Gracie Carpenter, Athens, Ala.; and Mrs. Etta Bitticks, Tanner, Ala.
