Funeral rites for J. E. Anderson, 92, Winn Parish man who died Monday, June 6, 1966 in an Olla hospital after a long illness, were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Jon F. Meek and the Rev. Dale Windham officiating.

Interment was in the Winnfield Cemeterhy.

Mr. Anderson was a native of Arcadia and was the son of the late James Ellis Anderson, pioneer Bienville Parish civic and religious leader. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Olla Baptist Church.

He leaves two daughters, Mrs. E. W. Evans of Winnfield and Mrs. Oscar Barton of Olla; two sons, Jim Anderson of Olla and Virgil Anderson of Grayson; eight grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
