Russell Brubaker, 81, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Virginia Gay Hospital, Vinton. Private family commital services were held in Grant Township Cemetery, followed by public memorial service at Amity Presbyterian Church, rural Reinbeck.
Russell was born Aug. 10, 1909 in Dinsdale to Samuel and Mary Fleming Brubaker. He was educated in Dinsdale and began farming with his father. He was married on July 31, 1938 to Laura Smith. He continued farming in Dinsdale for his entire life. He and his wife were members of Amity Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Laura and a son, Randy, both of Traer; two daughters, Vivian Emme of Tulsa, OK, and Rebecca Draper of River Falls, Wisconsin; his brother, Rupert, of Traer; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
