Son of William and Catalina (Hoagland) Baird. Married Anna Peacock in 1803. Member of Dutch Reformed Church in Lysander, Onondaga Co., NY. Farmer in Onondaga Co., NY. Fourteen children: William J., Jane V., Adonijah P., Henry V., Caroline, Jonathan W., Sarah, Benjamin, James, Robert, Anna Elizabeth, Abraham, Meribah Ellen, and Elizabeth. William outlived at least five of his children, passing just shy of age 86.
