Lysander – On Sunday evening, March 10, 1901, Abraham Baird died at his home in this village age 79 years, 6 months and 20 days. The deceased was one of thirteen children of the once well known Wm. Baird, who was among the early settlers in this section. Funeral Wednesday morning and interment in Lysander cemetery.

Abraham married three times: first, to Jane Van Liew on 15 Nov 1853; second, to Harriet (Paul) Robb on 21 December 1865; third, to Mary J. (Tilley) Wilson on 5 March 1884.

Abraham had one daughter, Ida, from his first marriage and an adopted daughter named Nettie during his second marriage.
