Lula Viola Watford Lofton, 1920 – 2005, born in Pineapple, AL, a long time resident of Loxley, AL and for the past 16 years, a resident of Daphne, AL, passed away in a Montgomery hospital on Friday, May 20, 2005. For many years, Mrs. Lofton worked at Scott Paper Co. (Kimberly-Clark) retiring in 1982.

She was preceded in death by her two sons, Roger Barto and James Douglas Lofton; one brother, Walter Ernest Watford and three sisters, Ruby W. Philipp, Frances Goodman and Susie Mae Goodman and one grandson, James Lofton. She is survived by one granddaughter, Teresa (Scott) Lineberry of Fairhope AL; one grandson, Tim Lofton of Hope Sound, FL; one brother, Willie Green (Buddy) Watford of Clanton, AL; two sisters, Martha Miller of Pensacola, FL and Genolden Enfinger of Molino, FL; daughter-in-law Linda Lofton of Daphne, AL, and devoted niece, Alice (Marion) Laubenthal of Spanish Fort, AL; three great-grandchildren and two great- great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne Chapel on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 from 11:30 until 1:00 p.m. with services beginning at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Jim Spencer of the First Baptist Church in Loxley officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope, AL.
