Ruby Watford Philipp, 88, born January 15, 1914 in Pineapple, AL and a resident of Spanish Fort, AL for the past 42 years, died November 5, 2002 in a local hospital. She was a former bookkeeper at the First National Bank (AmSouth), Waterman Stewarmship and WKRG Radio-TV station.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charley F. Philipp, her parents, Walter Anderson and Alice Cassidy Watford; one sister, Susie Mae Goodman, and one brother Walter Ernest Watford. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law Charles W. "Chuck" and Lori Philipp of Spanish Fort; two daughters and sons-in-law, Alice and Marion Laubenthal of Spanish Fort, and Bobbie Jean and Tom Sandoval of San Antonio, TX, four sisters, Viola W. Lofton of Daphne, AL, Martha Miller of Pensacola, FL, Genolden Enfinger of Molino AL, Francis Goodman of Jacksonville, FL and one brother, Willie G. "Buddy" Watford of Clanton, AL, one sister-in-law Pauline Grant of Mobile; four grandchildren, LeAna and Brian Schaffer, Walter Laubernthal, Jennifer Laubenthal and Rubee Sandoval of Garza, TX, one great-granddaughter, Michal Garza, of San Antonio, TX, and other relatives.

Services were held November 8 at Bayview Funeral Home's Daphne Chapel with burial in Memory Gardens of Fairhope, AL.
