JENNIE GILLHAM TAKEN BY DEATH

"Mrs. Jennie Gillham, 76, 921 West Fourth street, died at a local hospital at nine o'clock this morning following a long illness. Mrs. Gillham has resided in or near Grand Island for the past thirty years and was well known. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Jennie Lane was born May 1, 1860 and was married to William Gillham, at Union Falls (misprint, should be Union Mills) Indiana in 1878. She is survived by two sons, Arthur, of this city, and George, of Denver: a brother, Richard Lane of Silver Creek: a sister, Mrs. Rose Durling, of Prattsville, Mich.; fifteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Her husband, a son Floyd and a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Alexander, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at the Livingston-Sondermann funeral home, Sunday, at four p.m. with Rev. Glen Rice officiating. Burial will be in the Grand Island cemetery."

"Funeral services for Mrs Jennie Gillham were held at four o'clock Sunday afternoon, at the Livingston-Sondermann funeral home, with a large number of friends in attendance. Rev. Glenn Rice, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, conducted the rites, which included two vocal numbers by Mrs Agnes Birk, accompanied by Miss Anna Mae Livingston. There was a profusion of floral expressions. The Messr's Ed Kaasch, Oscar Swanberg, Bud White, John Behrens, Ben Gabrel and William Dunnerman served as pall bearers, with burial in the Grand Island Cemetery."
