Funeral services for Edward M. Lingen, 80, of Stacyville, Iowa, were held on Thursday, October 17, 1985 at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville. Rev. C. Manternach officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.
The Stacyville American Legion conducted military rites. Mr. Lingen died on Tuesday, October 15 at the Stacyville nursing home where he had been a resident for the last one and one-half years.
Mr. Lingen was born on October 10, 1905, to Anton and Eva (Daniels) Lingen in New Haven. He was employed by Theobald Implement, Gordy's, and last, for the Mitchell County Highway Department.
He was a member of the VFW in Austin, Minnesota.
Survivors include three sisters, Mary Fenscke of Hemet, Calif., and Lillian Voeltz and Rose Marren, both of Rochester, Minnesota.
