Dessie Ann Faust, 95, a resident of the Blue Ridge Haven East Nursing Home, formerly of Mount Union, R.D., died at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 1985 at the nursing home. Born Sept. 16, 1890, in Huntingdon County, she was the daughter of Alfred and Matilda (Briggs) Bard. She was united in married to William P. Faust, who preceded her in death. She is survived by four children: Richard Faust of Mount Union, R.D.; Mrs. Thelma Jones of Harrisburg; Mrs. Helen Adams of Newton Hamilton and Mrs. Edna Kurtz of Kermit, Texas. One daughter, Dessie Rubin, preceded her in death. Also living are nine grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Faust was a member of the Allenport United Methodist Church. She belonged to Mount Union Chapter No. 280 Order of the Eastern Star and was a past worthy matron of the organization in 1928-29. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home in Mount Union. The Rev. Richard Heinrich will officiate. Interment will be made in the Germany Valley Cemetery, Shirleysburg, R.D. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service. An Eastern Star memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Allenport United Methodist Church.
