Burial will be in the Brown Cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home. The remains will be at the family home, Five Forks Community, south of Winnfield, near Atlanta. He was a retired farmer and observed his 87th birthday on October 11, 1961 [sic 1874].
Surviving are nine children; four sons, Ed Collins, Atlanta, DeWitt and Luther Collins, Five Forks Community, and Roy Collins, Saline Lake; five daughters, Mrs. L. R. Dick, Smackover, Ark., Mrs. J. A. Young, Norphlet, Ark., Mrs. Murrell McIlwain, Springhill, La., Mrs. P. B. Smith and Mrs. Howard Boyett, Tannehill; 26 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Collins, Gilbert, La., and a number of nieces and nephews.
