Interment was in Sardis Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.
Mr. Collins was a lifelong resident of Winn Parish, a retired timber contractor, and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Cleburn Dalton, Jr., Baton Rouge, Mrs. Jim Attaway of Dallas, Texas, Miss Jennifer Collins of Atlanta, and Mrs. Wayne Sharpe of Montgomery, Ala.; four sons, Ed., Jr., Richard, and Cecil, all of Winnfield, and Bill of Alexandria; five sisters, Mrs. Merle McIlwain, Springhill, Mrs. J. D. Rudd, Mrs. P. B. Smith, Mrs. Lonnie Dick, and Mrs. Howard Boyett, all of Winnfield; three brothers, Roy Collins of Atlanta, Luther and Dewitt Collins, of Winnfield; and 16 grandchildren.
