Gustaf Adolf s/o Otto Eng, Korporal in Tångarne and Jenny Amalia Andersson was b. 14 Jun 1889 Stenbrohult Sweden. At age 2 he was living in Tångarne Vesteresg, Stenbrohult Sweden with his maternal grandparents and aunt Emma Kristina indicating he did not come to America with his parents and younger siblings. He died of diphtheria in Stenbrohult at age 8 on 9 Jan.1898. On his death record his parents are listed as Korporal Otto Eng and Jenny Andersdotter. "in Amerika".

Mr. and Mrs. Ed came to America and directly to Moline on April 5, 1893, and they have resided here ever since that time. Mr. and Mrs. Ed have five children, Mrs. Augusta Bors of Chicago, Carl Ed of Beardstown, Ill., Albert Ed of Rock Island, Mrs. Hildur Anderson of Detroit, Mich., and Clifford Ed, at home... Mr. Ed is a mason contractor and is still active in business/ Both Mr. and Mrs. Ed enjoy good health."

Mrs. Jennie Amelia Ed of Moline died age 93 at Moline Public Hospital. A patient there for two days, she had been ill since suffering a stroke 17 months prior.


Survivors: daughter Mrs. Sigfred Anderson in Detroit;

brothers [her sons] Clifford in Moline, Albert in Bettendorf and Carl in Petersburg;

eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren;

a sister in Sweden.


Preceded by her husband, a daughter and a son.
