"Carl Ed, 71, of 122 W. Lincoln Ave., Petersburg, a former Moline resident, died last night in St. John's Hospital, Springfield.
He was the owner-operator of the Rose View Greenhouse, Petersburg, and was employed as a nursery man in this area for many years.
Mr. Ed was born October, 1892, in Sweden, and moved to Moline in 1893. He was the son of Otto and Jennie Anderson Ed. He married Anna Burke on Aug. 10,1915, in Lyons, Ia. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Petersburg.
Surviving are the widow; three sons, James and Carl, both of Petersburg, and Donald, Springfield; five grandchildren; two brothers, Albert, Bettendorf, and Clifford, Moline; and a sister, Mrs. Sigfreed Anderson, St. Petersburg, Fla.
A daughter and a sister preceded him in death.
Arrangements are pending at the Esterdahl Mortuary."
