Gladys Emmett, 93, died Monday, Jan. 18, 1993 at the New Horizons Care Center in Lovell. Gladys was born May 31, 1899 at Cove Lake near Kanab, UT. She was the seventh child of sixteen; a daughter of Moses Mosiah Emmett and Florence Ophelia Allred Emmett.

In 1902 the family moved to the Lovell area. Gladys was an active member of the L.D.S. Church. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and her family. A beloved school teacher to scores of children, Gladys taught for more than 30 years.

She is survived by two brothers, F.M. Emmett of Lovell and Jay F. Emmett of Joliet, MT; a sister, Minnie Schmidt of Gooding, ID; and many nieces and nephews and loved ones.

Funeral services will be held Sat., Jan. 23, 1993 at 10:00 a.m. in the LDS Stake Center in Lovell. Burial will be in the Lovell Cemetery.
