Gay Swan Emmett, 74, died Wed., Feb. 6, 1980 in the North Big Horn Hospital of a heart ailment. He was born Jan. 15, 1906 in Lovell, WY, the son of Moses and Florence Emmett. He married Helen Phillips July 13, 1934 in Covington, KY. They have made their home in Lovell since 1934. He farmed until his retirement. He also worked for the City of Lovell for a time. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by his wife, Helen of Lovell; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Gay Mollenbrink of Lovell and Mrs. Sandra Dalene of Gillette, WY; three sons, Robert P. Emmett of Gillette, Donald P. Emmett of Hettinger, ND, and Wallace P. Emmett of Belle Fourche, SD; two brothers, Forrest of Lovell and Jay F. of Joliet, MT; three sisters, Gladys Emmett of Lovell, Hilda Morgareidge of Portland, OR, and Minnie Schmidt of Gooding, ID; 21 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Sat., Feb. 9, 1980 at 10:00 a.m. in the Lovell, WY L.D.S. Stake Chapel with Bishop Douglas Savage officiating. Burial will be in the Lovell Cemetery.
