C. A. Roeder, 64, PBX Installer and Repairman

Charles A. Roeder, 64, PBX installer-repairman for the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Co. died Monday at the Washington Hospital Center. He lived at 3207 Central Ave. NE.

Born in Upper Marlboro, he joined the telephone company in 1919 as a mechanic.

He was a member of the Alexander Graham Bell Chapter of the Telephone Pioneers of America, and St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church, and a former member of the Woodridge Citizen's Assocition.

He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Roy Ellis, two sons, Charles R. and William T. and five grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Lee funeral home, 4th and Massachusetts Avenue, N E.

A requiem mass will be said at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at St. Francis DeSales Church, 2015 Rhode Island Ave., N.E. with burial at Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
