Marriage: The marriage of Miss Gladys G. Beck, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Beck of Stamford, Conn., and Richard J. Toole, son of Mrs. William [O'Toole] McCabe of Weldon Street, took place Wednesday at 9 o'clock in St. Monica's Church. This ceremony was performed by Rev. Richard P. O'Connor of Utica, uncle of the bridegroom, who also celebrated the nuptial mass. The bride, who was given in marriage by her uncle, James L. Miller, wore white lace over satin with a tulle voil [sic] arranged in Madonna style. She wore lace mitts and carried a shower bouquet of bride roses, lilies of the valley and gypsophila. Miss Valeria Porai-Kornits (sp?) of Stamford was maid of honor and wore peach colored chiffon with a brown velvet hat and slippers and carried Killarney roses and larkspur. The bridesmaids were Miss May McGee of Stamford and Mrs. Phillip Dirksen. They wore emerald green with hats and slippers to match and carried autumn shades of dahlias and maiden hair fern. Edward W. Toole [sic], brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man. The ushers were J. Leo Toole [sic], brother of the bridegroom and Philip Dirksen.
The bridegroom's mother was in dark brown crepe with a velvet hat to match and a shoulder corsage of Killarney roses.

Toole - Glady(s) B.[sic] Toole, aged 53 years, of 64 Tarrytown Road, Tuesday, June 10, 1958. She is survived by her husband, Richard J. Toole; her son, William C. Toole and several nieces and nephews. Deceased was a member of the Rosary Society and Cooper Marine Post Auxiliary of the American Legion. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Mattle's, 853 Culver Road. Services Friday morning at 9:30 from the parlors and at 10 o'clock at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Interment in Waterville, N.Y.

Mrs. Richard Toole Passes at 53
Mrs. Gladys B.[sic] Toole, 53, of 64 Tarrytown Rd., Brighton, died unexpectedly yesterday (June 10, 1958). She was the wife of Richard J. Toole, assistant manager of the Industrial Management Council. Mrs. Toole was born in Stamford, Conn. She was graduated from St. John’s Parochial School and the Stamford High School, and attended Syracuse University. Before her marriage in 1930, she served as secretary to the faculty of Stamford High School while studying advanced piano from private tutors in New York City. She did some concert work but gave it up when she married. The couple was married in St. Monica’s Church Sept. 3, 1930, and had lived here ever since. Their son, William C. Toole, is a graduate student at the Wharton School of Finance in Philadelphia. Mrs. Toole was a member of the Rosary Society and Cooper Marine Post Auxiliary of the American Legion. Surviving besides her husband and son are several nieces and nephews. Funeral rite will be at Mattle’s at 9:30 a.m. and at Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Waterville, N.Y.
