Native of Waterville dies in Stamford, Conn.
Mrs. James L. Miller, 314 E. Thomas street, received a telegram this forenoon from Stamford, Conn., announcing the death there of her niece, Mrs. Herbert Marvel, and infant child [Herbert Charles Marvell]. Mrs. Marvel's maiden name was Ella Jones. She was born in Waterville, but had made Stamford her home for the past 25 years. She is survived by her husband, her step-father and her mother, Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Beck, a half-sister, Miss Gladys M.[sic, G.] Beck of Stamford, and her grandfather, Hugh Jones of Waterville. Mr.[sic, Mrs.] Miller has gone to Stamford to attend the funeral.

The death of Mrs. Herbert Marvel occurred at her home in Stamford, Connecticut on Monday, April 26th. Ella May Jones was born in Waterville thirty-four years ago. She attended the local high school, later the high school at Stamford, Conn. Fourteen years ago she married Herbert Marvel and they have since made their home at Stamford, Conn.
Mrs. Marvel spent part of the summer each year in Waterville with her grandfather, aunts and uncles. She will be greatly missed by her friends. The deceased was of a cheerful disposition and was a pleasant companion at all times. We deeply sympathize with the husband. She also leaves to mourn her loss her mother and a half-sister, Gladys Beck.
