Mount Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church Record: Sarah Belcher received by Experience on August 3, 1890.
==========
"The Roanoke Leader" - April 6, 1910:

MRS. J.W. BELCHER ENTERS INTO REST; DEATH COMES SUDDENLY TO A GOOD WOMAN AND RELIEVES HER OF EARTHLY CARES

Shortly after noon on Sunday Mrs. John W. Belcher passed from the cares of this life to the reward of the faithful in the beyond. Her death resulted from a stroke of apoplexy, followed by paralysis. The stroke preceded her
death about 48 hours.
Mrs. Belcher was a noble christian woman, who literally gave her life to her family and friends. Her last exhibition of self sacrificing service was given in behalf of her afflicted daughter who has been ill for months. Weary and worn with the watching, the messenger called and she passed into the sleep that knows no waking till the
morn of the reunion shall dawn.
One of the largest congregations that ever assembled on a similar occasion at Mount Pisgah church of which the deceased was a member, gathered Monday afternoon from various communities to show their love and sympathy. Elder J.T. Satterwhite conducted appropriate services preceding the interment.
Mrs. Belcher leaves a husband and five grown children, besides many other relatives and friends. By all who knew her well she will be held in precious memory.
