A much earlier stone reading gave 1825-1908. However all charts I found gave the posted dates.
2009 we found lots of unreadable stones. James and Margaret's stone was one of them. Location of the stone came from the early stone readings.

According to the family history, James Maycroft married the oldest daughter of his master. Sarah Jane Means and James R. Maycroft were married 15 June 1848 Upwell, England. They headed for America later that year. Their 3 daughters, Mary Ann, Amelia Jane and Lillie Adelaide were all born in Cook Co, Illinois.
By 1865, James is living in Fayette Co, Illinois. He married his second wife on 23 June 1865 Fayette Co, Illinois. Martha gave James a son, Ira Maycroft.
On 13 April 1872 Louisville, Clay, Illinois, James married my ancestor, Margaret Miller. Margaret was the daughter of Joseph & Margaret Parkinson Miller from Ohio. James and Margaret had 5 children: Rose Margreet, George Robert, Viola Victoria, Herbert Joseph Henry and Francis Marion. Francis and Rosa are both buried in Brown Cemetery where their parents are entombed. Bright's disease was given as the cause of his death.
