Services were held on Monday at the Ackerman Presbyterian Church for Clark D. Blanton, retired salesman and accountant.
Blanton, 73, died Sunday morning at the Choctaw County Hospital. Burial was In the Enon Cemetery.
Blanton, a Shriner and elder in the Presbyterian Church for 50 years, was a native of Ackerman. He was a salesman and later an accountant for the Jones Construction Company, stationed in Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Radford, Va.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lula Temple Blanton of Ackerman; two sons, John Darden Blanton of Oak Ridge, Tenn., William C. Blanton, Mason, Ohio; three brothers, Ellis Blanton of Ackerman, Clarence Blanton, Durant, and Cooper Blanton, Los Angeles; two sisters, Mrs. W. C. Hunt of Tulsa, Okla., and Mrs. Ellis Presley of Pickens, and six grandchildren. Mrs. Blanton was former home ec teacher here at Mathiston.
