Obituary from the Baptist minutes book:

Cornelius Neal Taylor; Was born May 14, 1837, joined the United Baptist Church of Christ at a meeting conducted by Rev. W.H. Brummett and others, July 17, 1884 and was one of the members that composed the organization of Ryans Creek Church. Brother Taylor was a true and upright citizen; a devoted husband; a kind loving father and a earnest christian, always ready to lend a helping hand in time of need. His sudden death on th 11th day of Dec. 1906 was almost heart rending to his beloved wife and children, and many relatives and friends. At the time of his death, he was a member of the United Baptist Church at Hickory Grove. We have every reason to believe that he has gone to reap the reward of the righteous.
