Thomas Edward Taylor Age 68, a resident of Revelo, Ky., departed this life February 15, 1956. Mr. Taylor, a valuable and loyal employee of the Stearns Coal and Lumber Company for some 47 years began work on the K & T Railway
and later transferred to the planning mill. Ed, a well known and respected citizen of McCreary County, joined First Hickory Grove some 47 years ago, and was a charter [member] of that church. He was also an ordained deacon
of the church and lived a faithful Christian life until death. His passing was not only a great loss to his family and relatives but also to a host of friends who knew and admired him. Funeral services were held at the First
Grove Baptist Church Friday, February 17, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Milford Vahles, Rev. George King and Rev. Maynard Blevins officiating. Burial was in the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery. Mr. Taylor is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rebecca Crabtree Taylor, three children, Miss Helen Taylor, Rev.Charles Taylor and Chester Taylor, Revelo; three grandchildren; one brother, Robert Taylor and two sisters, Mrs. Savannah Stephens and Miss Vicie Taylor,
all of Pine Knot; four half-brothers, William Taylor, Jellico Creek, Henry and Daniel Taylor, Williamsburg and Millard Taylor of Jellico Tenn., and a half sister of Cincinnati, Ohio. We feel our loss is his eternal gain in
glory.
