Jacqueline Sue Baker, 69, rural Erie, Kansas, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 1, 2009.
She was born May 31, 1940, in West Plains, Missouri, to Jack and Nadine (Anderson) Lamons.
She graduated from Humboldt High School in 1959.
She married Jimmy L. Baker on Nov. 24, 1977, in Erie, Kansas. He survives.
She was a homemaker.
Jacqueline was a loving wife and mother. She loved her pets, her flowers and chocolate. She had many close friends and relatives and loved each and every one of them. To know her was to love her.
Other survivors include two sons, Mike Taylor, Blair, NE, and Jeff Taylor, Chanute, KS; a daughter, Dotti Hartman, Colony, KS; four grandchildren, Cassie Taylor, Chanute, KS, and Julie, John, and Janeal Hartman, Colony, KS; two brothers, Gary Lamons, Redding, CA, and Jay Lamons, Erie, KS; and a sister, Arleta Myers, Fredonia, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation will take place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Contributions to the Shriner's Children's Hospital in St. Louis, MO, may be left with the funeral home.
