Arleta Fay Myers, 67, a fifteen-year resident of Fredonia, Kansas, formerly of Fort Worth, Texas, died Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. She was born December 31, 1943 in Humboldt, Kansas, the daughter of Jack and Nadine (Wrestler) Lamons. She was a homemaker, as well as working at Wayside Mobile Homes in Saginaw, Texas and apartment manager in Fort Worth, Texas. On July 8, 1959, Arleta was united in marriage to Jerry Oscar Myers Sr. They were blessed to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary this past July. Arleta enjoyed reading mysteries and stories about paranormal activity. She spent a lot of time exploring the internet. In addition to her husband, Jerry, Arleta is survived by five children, two brothers, 10 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Steven Wayne Myers, and her sister, Jackie Baker. Arleta requested cremation. A private family memorial service will be held. A memorial has been established in her name with the American Heart Association and can be sent to Timmons Funeral Home, PO Box 168, Fredonia, KS, 66736.
