ACKERMAN, Jan. 22. (Special) Mrs. Jennie Sides died Monday at Turner Hospital in Meridian after a lingering illness and during the past week her condition was of such desperate nature that her death was not unexpected.
Mrs. Sides was 66 years old, a member of the Baptist church, and was a sweet, lively lady until sickness of such desperate nature and then she bore this with such uncomplaining courage that at first loved ones thought perhaps she would get well.
She was a member of one of Choctaw's oldest families, before her marriage she was Miss Jennie Quinn and moved here from Brooksville with her father, Robin Quinn, who was among the first settlers that came to Choctaw.
She Is survived by her husband, Henry Sides, eight sisters, Mrs. Mollie Bagwell of New Albany, Mrs. Jerry Power of Mathiston. Mrs. A R. Bowie, and Mrs. J. M. Smith of McComb, Mrs. O. M. Thompson, Mrs. E. Staples, Mrs. A, U Rowell and Mrs. T. J. Blanton of Ackerman and one brother, Charlie Quinn of Ackerman.
Funeral services will be held at the Baptist church today, conducted by Rev. P. S. Rogers, the pastor. Interment at Enon Cemetery.
