Funeral Set For Monday Afternoon
ACKERMAN - Mrs. Mary Eliza Bailey, 87, died at her home in Ackerman Sunday after a long illness. Born and reared in Choctaw County, she had lived most of her life here. She was married in 1884 to Milton Bailey who died in 1933. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Her daughter, Mrs. W. A. Stroud, made her home with her.
Survivors include five sons. Sam and Joe Bailey of Jackson. Grady Bailey, Mobile, Zach Bailey, Gulfport, Ishmael Bailey. New Orleans: three daughters. Mrs. Stroud, Mrs. V. M. Bruce, Mrs. A. D. Mabus, Ackerman: fifteen grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday from the Ackerman Baptist church with the Rev. Sam Brown, pastor, officiating. Other ministers in the town will assist. Interment will be in the Enon cemetery with Francis Funeral Home in charge.
