Born to Leslie Ray and Flossie Charlotte Ade Conklin, Blanche married Henry William Wahlfeld on April 26, 1930, in Pekin. He died May 24, 1990.

Two brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Howard of Rolling Meadows and Eldon of Manito; one daughter, Mrs. J.C. (Eloise) Rose of Hot Springs, Ark.; six sisters, Nina Patrick of Bath, Floye Hughes of Kilbourne, Daisy Emmons of Alton, June Emmons of Cottage Hills, Patsy Kramer of Bloomington and Evelyn Williamson of Milwaukee; four brothers, Lloyd Conklin of Havana, Donald Conklin of Kilbourne, James Conklin of Petersburg and Homer Conklin of Rhinelander, Wis.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Forest City Community Church, Mason County Homemakers Extension and the Order of Eastern Star.

Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.
