Kilbourne, IL - Donald Wayne Conklin, 69, of 314 N. Second died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2000, at Mason District Hospital in Havana.

Born July 14, 1930, in Kilbourne to Leslie Ray and Flossie Charlotte Ade Conklin, he married Gloria L. Frank on Dec. 24, 1949, in Havana. She survives.

Also surviving are four sons, Dick (and Diane) of Morton, Marvin of Bloomington, Barry (and Sheree) of Normal and Ron (and Jan) of Manito; one daughter, Mrs. Chuck (Pam) Geiss of Chandlerville; two brothers, Lloyd of Havana and Jim of Petersburg; six sisters, Nina Patrick of Bath, June Emmons of Cottage Hills, Evelyn Williamson of West Allis, Wis., Floye Hughes of Kilbourne, Patsy Kramer of Bloomington and Daisy Emmons of Alton; 10 grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild.

Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

He was a material scheduler for Caterpillar Inc.

He also served as mayor of Kilbourne for several years.

He served on the Balyki High School Board for several years. He also was a little league coach in Kilbourne for many years.

He headed the Kilbourne Centennial Committee.

Burial will be in Kilbourne Cemetery.
