Thomas R. Allison, 52

Georgetown - Thomas R. Allison, 52, of Georgetown, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, of an apparent heart attack. Born May, 31, 1953, in Rochester, Pa., a son of the late Clair and Mary Glenn Allison, he was a 1972 Graduate of South Side Area High School and was employed as a crane operator for Allegheny Technologies, Midland, Pa. He was the owner and operator of Walnut Creek Farm, Hanover Township, a member of the Pennsylvania Shorthorn Breeders Association, and past President and Leader of the Beaver County 4-H Stockman's Club. Next to farming, Tom's second love was basketball. He was the 7th Grade Boys' Basketball Coach at South Side Middle School from 1997 - 2004. He was very proud of all his boys. A past member of the Hookstown Volunteer Fire Department, Tom enjoyed helping in his community. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Allison in 2000. Tom leaves his loving family, his wife Debbie Campbell Allison whom he married Jan. 26, 1973. A daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Larry Berger, two sons, Jeremy and Andy Allison, all of Georgetown. Four grandchildren, Cody Allison, Jacob, Tyler and Katelyn Berger, all of Georgetown. Two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale and Marsha Allison, Aliquippa, and Ron and Laurie Allison, Lompoc, California. Two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Tom Danley, East Liverpool, Ohio, and Kathy and Bill Brauer, Hookstown. A father-in-law, Gordon Campbell, Georgetown. Two sisters - in - law, Sondra Allison, Georgetown and Judy Schondelmayer of East Liverpool, Ohio. And many loving nieces and nephews. Tom was a wonderful and generous man and ill be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Friends will be received 6 - 8 p.m. Monday and 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Welch's Funeral Home, Hookstown, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2005 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 1323 Forbes Ave., Suite 200, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15219.
