Dale William Allison, 71
Raccoon Twp., Pa. - Dale William Allison, 71, of Raccoon Twp., PA, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2009, with family by his side. He was born on August 1, 1937, in Raccoon Twp., to the late Clair and Mary Allison. Dale grew up in Georgetown and was a 1955 graduate of Chester High School. He served in the United States Army and retired after 46 years with LTV Steel. Dale was a member of the Raccoon Township Volunteer Fire Company for 37 years and was a member of New Life Presbyterian Church. He was very active in the Raccoon Boys Club from 1971 to 1982, serving in many capacities. Dale was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil and Tom Allison. Dale is survived by his loving wife, Marcia (Shinton) Allison, of Raccoon Twp., to whom he was married for 46 wonderful years; two daughters and two sons, Dan Allison and his wife, Kim of Lima, OH; Cindy Yoon of Swartz Creek, MI; Steve Allison and his wife, Chris of Butler, PA, and Amy Marshall and her husband, Pat of Hopewell Twp., PA; twelve grandchildren, Meghan and Emily Allison of Lima, OH; Ryan, Lauren, Aaron, and Allison Yoon, all of Swartz Creek, MI; Nolan, Brody and Becca Allison, all of Butler, PA; Chelsea, Ashley, and Kristen Marshall, all of Hopewell Twp., PA; two sisters and one brother, Ron Allison and his wife, Lori of Lompoa, CA; Laura Jean Danley and her husband, Tom of East Liverpool, OH; and Kathy Brauer and her husband, Bill of Hookstown, PA; two sister-in-laws, Sonnie Allison of Hookstown, PA; and Debbie Allison of Hookstown, PA; brother-in-law, Ron Shinton and his wife, Bobbie of North Springfield, VA as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dale will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Friends will be received Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the DARROCH MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 2640 Mill St., Aliquippa, www.darrochfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the New Life Presbyterian Church, Patterson Drive, Aliquippa. Everyone please meet at the church.
