(The PHOTO is of Adam Hogg's gravestone, it says born in Scotland 1818 & died in 1840)

Adam was the son of William Hogg(1779-1844) & his wife Margaret Lumsden(1781-1855)

Adam Hogg worked at the family farm & one winter of 1840 he was killed by a limb falling from a tree & striking him on the head in the woods in McKean County, Pa. he was brought home after never regaining consciousness. He was 22 years old when he died.

He was buried in the old South Main Street Cemetery 1st. Then in 9/28/1936 all burials at South Main Street Cemetery in Franklinville, NY were transfered. Careful notes of burials were written. Found at Adam's burial site was: Grave # 10
, page 148: Stone 20" wide, founds parts of casket, handles of casket, all bones. Box was filled & sealed.
