Mt. Pleasant- Mr. Charles Frederick Bowman, 61, Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday morning, Jan, 18, at Henry County Health Center.

He was born July 18, 1921, in Davis County to Pearly and Zepha Stogdill Bowman. He married Geneva Nicholson at Perryton, Texas.

He worked at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, Middletown.

Surviving: his wife; two sons, Charles R., New London, and Edward E., Mt. Pleasant; four daughters, Phyllis Wolfe and Donna Vaughn, both of Mt. Pleasant, Debra Bowman, Burkburnett, Texas, and Marsha O'Neill, New London; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Leo, Trenton, and Donald, Mt. Pleasant; two sisters, Lucille Gillispie, Trenton, and Dorothy Throckmorton, Ottumwa; one step-brother, Paul Stogdill, and one step-sister, Margaret Stogdill, both of Bloomfield.

Preceding Mr. Bowman in death was his mother, Zepha Stogdill, Father Pearly Bowman, step-father, Orda L. Stogdill, step-brother, Walter (Doc) Stogdill and step-sister, Alice Ritz.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday, Elliott Chapel, New London, the Rev. Earl Swigart; Forest Home Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant
