Services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Anderson Funeral home for Eddie Edward Phelps, who passed away at his home on route 3, July 29. Rev. G E Woodall officiated and interment was at Idlewilde cemetery.
Eddie Edward Phelps was born at Adilne, Kansas, August 26, 1883. He came to Hood River at the age of five with his parents, shortly before the turn of the century and worked as a carpenter and general laborer.
Survivors include: Wife Adeline, Hood River; daughters, Mrs Margarete Malaer and Ruth McDonald, Portland, and Mrs Edna French, Long Beach, California; sons, Edward and harry, Hood River, Elmer D., San Francisco, California; stepson, Norris Delore, Coos Bay; brother Raleigh, Newberg; and nine grandchildren.

Eddie was the son of Austin L & Sarah J (Nealeigh) Phelps. He married Minnie May Abbott 8-15-1907. She passed away, May 1919, leaving Eddie with seven small children. (censes 1920). He remarried Mary Adeline Wilson Delore 2-27-1909.
