Surviving her father only four days, Miss Ruby Austin, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Austin, died at 6 o'clock Friday evening at the family home, in Blue Mound township, about eight miles southwest of Decatur. She was born in Blue Mound township and had lived there all her life. Her death was caused by tuberculosis. Her father, Joseph Austin, died last Monday morning and at that time it was feared she would not live throughout the day. Besides her mother she is survived
by two brothers, Joseph and Thomas Austin of Blue Mound township, a half-brother, Frank Owens of Galesburg. and five sisters, Mrs. Frank Russell, Mrs. Clyde Moore, Mrs. Henry Baugh and Mrs. Carl Martin, all of Decatur, and Mrs. Minnie Jones of Springfield. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Blue Mound chapel.
The interment will be in Salem cemetery.
