Jesse M. Sterner was born March 10, 1882, and died January 4, 1941, aged 58 years, 9 months, and 24 days.
Mr. Sterner was in poor health for a long time. He had been a respected farmer of Codorus Township for many years.
On July 4, 1924, he united with St. Jacob's (Stone) Evangelical and Reformed Church.
The funeral services were held from his late home on Tuesday afternoon, January 7, 1941, with brief services at the house, and further services at the Stone Church. The funeral text was I Cor. 15:51. Burial was made in the new cemetery.
