Virginia Evelyn Chandler Rogers Young, age 80, died Friday, Jun 26, 2009 with her family by her side. She was born to the late Walter and Marie Westbrook Chandler. She was retired from Wal-Mart and was a homemaker. She was a member of County Line Baptist Church, where she served as Church Clerk for over 25 years. She dearly loved working in her church. Her dearest love was her son, grandkids and great grandkids. She loved Elvis Presley and watching old Elvis and John Wayne movies. She was an avid reader. She was lovingly called "Aunt Nanner" by her neices and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husbands, Jack Rogers and Felix Young; two brothers Larry Walter Chandler and Wayne Chandler; and her granddaughter Casey Rogers Hill.
Survivors include her son Ray Rogers and wife Kathy, a very special son-in-law Donald Young and wife Diane, granddaughter Mandy and husband Jay Brown, grandchildren, MacKenzie, Ryan and Tyler. She is also survived by her brother Edwin Chandler and sister Anna Faye Howard and numerouse neices, nephews and a host of other family members and friends.
Services will be Monday, June 29, 2009 at County Line Activity Building with Bros. James Spradlin officiating. Internment will follow in County Line Cemetery.
