Wayne Eugene Chandler was born in Howard County, Arkansas. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and the Korean Conflict. He was a conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad and a member of Dixie Baptist Church, Sieper, LA.

He leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Myrtle Lee Ivey Chandler of Otis; sons, Alfred (Debbie) Chandler, Dennis (Rebecca) Chandler, and Mark (Pam) Chandler; daughters, Cindy Chandler, Debbie (Johnny) McDaniel, and Kathy (Harold) Smith; fourteen grandchildren, Becky, Selina, Clarence, Jake, Dylan, Trey, Miranda, Andy, Christopher, Luke, Courtney, Josh, Amy & Waylon; and one great-grandchild, Katie. He is also survived by his brother, Edwin Chandler, and sisters, Virginia Young and Anna Fay Howard.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Clarence Chandler, Jake McDaniel, Dylan McDaniel, Trey Smith, Christopher Chandler, Luke Chandler, Josh Chandler and Waylon Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Monk, E.J. Miller, Ray Rogers, Mike Chandler and Tommy Crocker.
