GARRISON, CHARLES E. - Private - Son of Isaac and Margaret Garrison; born August 18, 1897, Greensburg, Decatur County, Ind. Moved to Rush County in 1901. Enlisted in U.S. Regular Army May 1, 1917, Muncie, Ind. Sent to Camp Shelby, Miss.; assigned to Battery E, 150th Field Artillery. Transferred to Camp Mills, L.I. Embarked for over seas October 18, 1917, attached to 42nd (Rainbow) Division. Killed in action November 8, 1918, in the Meuse Argonne drive. (Burial place unknown.)
