Revolutionary War Soldier
Thomas was born in Norwich, New London, Connecticut on August 11, 1744. He was the son of Thomas and Lettice Turner Tilden. In about 1768 he married Martha Stillman, daughter of John and Rachel Robbins Stillman. They may have been married in Sandisfield, Berkshire, Massachusetts. At any rate, they had twelve chidren born in Sandisfield between 1769 and 1790. Some time after 1790, they moved to Avon, Livingston, New York, where Martha died in1812, Thomas died in Burns, Allegany County, New York in 1832. He is buried in the Burns Cemetery.
