Mrs.Hattie A. Bills died at 12:25 am today in her home at 1699 E. Cantrell street after a short illness. Death was attributed to a stroke of apoplexy. she was 73 years old.
A daughter of James and Mary Geddes, Mrs. Bills was born Aug.4,1866 in Decatur. She was married Dec. 25, 1884 to William Bills,who died June 28, 1934. She had lived in Decatur all her life.
Mrs.Bills leaves two daughters, Miss Ada J.Bills and Mrs.Lucy N. Bailey,both of Decatur, one son,Harold D.Bills of Decatur,one grandson,William Marshall Wallace,also of Decatur and two brothers Frederick Geddes of Jacksonville, and Horatio N. Geddes of Crescent city,Calif.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday in the Monson chapel with burial in Brush college cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon tomorrow.
