William Bills, 81, for 60 years a resident of Decatur, died Thursday in his home on Cantrell street. He had been suffering from a complication of diseases for several years. Pneumonia developed and caused his death.

He was born in La Salle Oct. 3, 1853. He came to Macon county when a small boy and for the last 60 years has resided in Decatur. He was married to Miss Hattie Geddes in Decatur Dec. 25, 1884. He leaves his wife and three children, Miss Ada Bills, Mrs. Lucy M. Wallce and Harold D. Bills, all of Decatur, one grandson.

For the last 15 years he has led a retired life owning to ill health. He was the last of his immediate family. He was a member of Easterly camp 1626, M. W. A.

The funeral will be held Saturday in the Monson chapel with burial in the Spangler cemetery.
