The Ashland Daily Independent, a newspaper out of Ashland, Boyd Co., KY published June 15, 1930
SPARKS-Funeral service for Mrs. Rebecca Sparks, 78, who died at her home in Lexington, Ky., Friday afternoon is to be held from the Clark Funeral Home Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with burial following in the Ashland cemetery.
The body arrived here on train No. 24 last night.
Mrs. Sparks is survived by the following children: W. S. Sparks, Prospect Place, Ashland, R. D. Sparks of Covington, James M. Sparks of Glen Hedick, WV., Mrs. Martha Preddy, Washington State and Mrs. Thomas Baker of Wenatchee, Washington, and by two brothers, E.H. Horton, Ashland, Flanery Horton of Bryant, Wis, and one sister, Mrs. Gus Ratcliff of Hitchens.

The Jess Evans on the same tombstone is actually the brother-in-law of William Flanery Sparks! William Flanery Sparks and Jess(e) Evans married sisters. I suppose it could have been a financial thing to have him buried there, but Jess(e) Evans obituary does not disclose the relationship and Jess(e)Evans wife died years later and is buried in Woodland Cemetery, Ironton,Ohio.
