Wife of Reese Duff Horton and daughter of Henry Cox and Rebecca Flanary as proven by the David Cocke/Henry Cocke Bible found in the Virginia State Library. Tombstone recorded on May 30, 1977 and again in 1999 not located in Sep 2008. Bible records birth date as Nov 20, 1822 and death recorded in Carter Herald newspaper dated May 1, 1903 saying "Mrs. Susan Horton deceased, aged 74, wife of R. D. Horton who died about 30 years ago."
