Mrs. Pearl Kitchen
Mrs. Pearl Kitchen, 101, of Grayson, died Thursday in King's Daughters Medical Center following a long illness.
Mrs. Kitchen was born Aug 21, 1886 in Elliott County, a daughter of the late William and Sarah Hood Horton. Her husband, Thomas Dalton Kitchen, died in 1958.
She was a former school teacher, a Kentucky Colonel and was of the Nazarene faith.
Surviving are two daughters; Lottie LeMaster of Grayson and Enid Kiser of Dayton, Ohio, 17 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson by John Sargent and Allen Wilcox, ministers. Burial will be in the East Carter County Memory Gardens at Grayson.
