Lyle L. "Pappy" Wagner, 67, Hutchinson, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita.
He was born Sept. 21, 1925, at Russell, the son of Jacob B. and Elizabeth Bender Wagner.
A hutchinson resident for 20 yrs, moving from Russell, he retired in 1990 from the Eaton Corp, hutchinson.
he was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, and life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post No. 6240, Russell.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.
on April 22, 1951, he married Elizabeth M. Applegate at Russell. She survives.
Other survivors include; a son, Lyle L. Wagner Jr.Hutchinson; four daughters, Sharon Hathaway, Nickerson, Teresa Sams, Sterling, Rita Prieb,Hutchinson,and Leota Wagner, Greensburg; a brother Paul, Russell; a sister, Helen Michel, Russell; four grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
