Paul J. Wagner, 70, Russell, died Thursday, July 28, 2005, at Hays Medical Center. He was born July 14, 1935, in Russell County to Jacob B. and Elizabeth (Bender) Wagner.
He married Betty L. Counts on April 8, 1969, in Russell.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a self-employed contract pumper in the Russell and Barton County areas for most of his life.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Kevin Wagner, Ashland, Mo., and Paul Wagner, Russell; two daughters, Melanie Banks and Michelle Wagner, both of Russell; a sister, Helen Michel, Russell; and six grandchildren.
Memorials services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Russell; burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Russell. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the Pohlman-Heise Mortuary, Russell.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Mary Catholic Church-Building Fund.
