BLACKFOOT, Oct. 26 - Funeral
services for Roy Butterfield,
57. who was killed in a
pheasant hunting accident Saturday,
will be held at 2 p.m. Wed-
nesday in the Howard Packham
Mortuary at Blackfoot,
Rev. Archie Philips, pastor of
he Southern Baptist Church will
officiate. Burial will be in the (
Grove City Cemetery at Blackfoot.

Friends may call at the mortuary
Tuesday and Wednesday
until service time.
Roy Butterfield was born at
Rockland, Idaho, Aug. 15, 1908,
the son of Charles Robert and
Adclia Quigley Butterfield. He
married Freda Lowe at Idaho
Falls, Oct. 19. 1940.

They moved to Bellevue, Idaho
where Mr. Butterfield
taught school and he worked
at the site of Sun Valley Lodge.
He had the distinction of haul-
ing the first and last loads of
construction material for the
lodge building.

He also drove the ski bus, and
assisted in the production of
filming for three movies filmed
at the site. He especially enjoyed
hunting and fishing.

The family lived in Milton-
Freewater, Ore., for about 10
years before coming to Blackfoot
in 1957. He was an ironworker
by trade and had worked
or numerous construction
companies in the area.

He was a member of the
Christian Church.

Survivors include his widow
and two sons: Donald of Concord,
Calif. ; R. Leonard Butterfield,
Palo Alto, Calif.; also surviving
are four brothers and
three sisters: Al Butterfield,.
Shoshone; John F. Butterfield,
Bancroft; James Butterfield,
Heyburn; Howard Butterfield,
Worland, Wyo.; Mrs. Myrtle
Henney, Alderwood Manor,
Wash. ; Mrs. Florence Anderson,
Mrs. Mabel Meyers, Pocatello;
there are two grandchildren.
