Joseph Thome Dies Suddenly at Minneapolis. Well Known Minneapolis Man is Stricken. Lived at Stacyville Several Years.
Relatives in this community were notified Sunday noon that Joseph Thome, 64, died Sunday morning at about 11 o'clock, due to a stroke that came upon him earlier in the day. Word of his sudden demise came as a severe blow to his daughter, Mrs. E.P. Adams, and many others here.
Mr. Thome was an early resident of this community and enjoyed a very large acquaintance.
His body was brought to Stacyville Tuesday for burial. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Father Manternach in Visitation Church this morning at nine o'clock, and interment was in Visitation cemetery. A very large number were present at the services and at the grave.
